White Vinegar and salt will remove rust from your white T-shirt, just put a small amount of vinegar and salt on the rust stains wait about a half hour then wash as usual in warm water

Rust: Soak fabric spotted with brown rust stains (which sometimes come from hard water) in a solution of 1 part lemon juice and 1 part water for at least 30 minutes. Do not use chlorine bleach on rust stains.

I also found another great site but it would NOT let me copy and paste!!! :( Anyway here is there link: http://www.tipking.co.uk/tip/4174.html

I'm just using logical reasoning for this, but since Coke removes rust normally, then what if you soaked your shirt in Coke.

Or maybe not if Coke stains white shirts, but if it doesn't-- Then I think that'd be a fun experiment!

I would take 1part alcohol to 2 parts water and soak the shirt in it, leave it for awhile, and then add dish detergent and wash the shirt, when you have finished check it out and if needed do it again,Also peroxide might do it for you, try it on a little part of the shirt.

for mild rust stains, spread the stained portion over a pan of boiling water, and squeeze lemon juice on it. or sprinkle salt on the stain, squeeze lemon juice on it, and spread in the sun to dry. rinse thoroughly. reapeat if necessary.
other ways exist but require poisonous oxalic acid.
