Olive trees take 100 years to mature, NOT 7 or 8. People plant olive trees for thier great grandchildren!

Sorry, but that is nonsense!! I have an olive tree it took 15 or so years for it to bear fruit. I wish it would have taken 100yrs makes a big mess. Most people plant Olive trees as an ornamental tree the do not care or want olives.

they're meant to be harvested while the back of the flower head turns from green to brown. in the previous that, the seeds won't be thoroughly ripe, and so won't germinate. Then permit the heads dry thoroughly. Shake out or %. out the seeds while very dry, put in a clean glass jar or different field, and save in a cool, dry place till time to plant next year. relish them!
