i need help with this thought and feelin well an opinion?

I really dont know how to say this but...
im 13, and i think im gay and feel a attraction to this kid in my class thats not really hot--he has like unieyebrow and has big lips when he smiles and has braces that makes his smile look bigger. but i still like him
im not sure why this because like around 4th grade i like a girl but now this. i dont get? and the worst part is that i dont want to be gay not that i dont respect them but dont want to be one

i used to be almost liek his friends then suddenly we stopped talking and then again i start talking to him and visa versa.

I think most of the American population, male or female, has a least one strong attraction to a person of the same gender.
And it's not always because they are gay or lesbian.

I think when you've gotten to know someone, after awhile you start feeling attracted to them, because you just genuinely like that person, perhaps even love them. I'm not talking a sexual love, you know you can love someone from the same sex without being gay!
Sometimes you may like/love the person and think their butt is cute or like you mentioned above. Girls tell other girls all the time, you have beautiful eyes, cute butt, awesome hair, nice boobs, etc. Why can't guys do the same? Don't shy away from this boy if you have a good friendship, he may be the best friend you've ever met, unless of course it gets too uncomfortable. If you are close enough friends however, you might just mention something to him, like tell him he's so ugly he's cute! That way you could always turn it in to a joke if it doesn't go the way you plan.

Just remember you are still very young and have plenty of time to figure all this out.

And of course if that doesn't work you can always follow desert punk's advice above!
