I agree on your last point, but really when you think about it the political structure still remains as it was. I didn't think it changed much other than many brothers and sisters blood had been shed for the differences in beliefs and opinions. W could say yes it di end slavery. But If we really think carefully, slavery would had been outlawed regardless of the war occuring or not. the point is that, if the South would have won, there is a possibility of the South becoming a confereate country of it's own, ruled by the Democrats. AS you have already seen in everyday situation in the middle east that there are constantly wars among brothers happenning all the time. I think that would have been the change that you would talk about. So, yeah, there really is not much changed in the Government structure. We still have Republicans and Democrats battling legally and illegally to win the Offices in Washington. Good enough, yes?

The American Civil War was brought about by a historical understanding of slavery combined with evidence of the abuses of Antebellum slavery, which was cruel and inhumane. If slavery wasn't justified as a racial issue of superiority and therefore that blacks were 3/5 of a whole person, then there would still be slavery, I'm convinced. Slavery in ancient Rome was mostly due to the losing side of a battle getting captured and put into servitude, with not as much metaphysical justification for the slavery as American Slavery, although there still was some of that element.

since the civil war, african americans have gotten ful civil rights. Before the civil war, most african americans were slaves and considered property, not humans as stated in the Dred Scott decision. The war caused the whole of america to reconsider how they get along because war was inevitable due to political tensions in each of the sections and new inventions such as the cotton gin. John Brown helped the african americans get a voice because he had an army of 120 go up against an army of over 1000.

Well there is the obvious in that it changed the social status of african-americans. Also, it changed the nature of warfare, as the inventions during and spurred by the war made the defensive position a very advantagious one. Also, it changed the nature of states rights as well. States became much more dependent on the federal goverment in the post civil war years.

It almost definitely replaced the form and maximum all kinds of existence in united statesa.. As to music - i think of you are going to be greater effective served by way of putting this interior the music classification. i recognize that there have been many songs sung for the duration of the war on the two factors - first they have been "RAH RAH - we can win" stuff then "Oops - we are screwed." the traditional replace I see is that African-American music entered into the mainstream of ALL American music. each thing from jazz to Spirituals, et al. maximum of those alterations did no longer ensue until the turn of the Century, yet they certainly greater that which we've been uncovered to.
