OK, Halliburton is chaney's company, UAE is the ones funding terrorist, so now a US company is making money for a country that funds terrorist? GEEZ this give a whole new meaning to the 911 conspiracy theorist doesn't it?

Firstly, I thought it was a coalition? Then it cant just be YOUR war.

Anyway. Halliburton will remain a US-registered company but with headquarters and the CEO in Dubai with the remaining executive (COO, CFO, etc.) still in Texas.

This means that they will pay taxes in the USA on their revenues (and Dubai doesnt have much in the way of corporate taxes so the UAE won't be making much money off all those NO-BID contracts).

I do however think it is insulting to American taxpayers, especially in light of Halliburton's wasting of $2.4 billion in Iraq, the fact that Dick Cheney was once CEO and the company got lots of no-bid contracts, and the company is very intertwined with the military.

It is also suspect that after all there involvement in Iraq, as soon as the new paperwork for the oil revenue sharing in Iraq lands into parliament (and it calls for the privatization of the oil fields), Halliburton says it is going to focu son its oil business and setup shop in Dubai.......coincidence I think not.

absurdity at its best, they are a global company,we are not fighting for oil! Halliburton has the right to do with its company whatever it wants. If the liberals want to overtax and kill the golden goose then I think Halliburton(on a business sense) is doing the right thing(especially since they do most of their work overseas anyway)A good example is why so many taxes have been put on Tobacco but they stop short of outlawing it outright, why? because it brings in money! The funniest part of the oil game though is China is about to use Mexico to help drill out oil from one of the biggest finds in the gulf of Mexico. The same Ocean that our beloved greenie tree huggers wont let us touch, does this really make sense?

Halliburton is a U.S. based company, just because they open a foreign office does not mean the profits go to the foreign country. The profits will come to the U.S. except for what is needed for local expenses

basically a company pass in my opinion. Halliburton has lots invested interior the U. S. that it will constantly be venture to US rules in lots of techniques. As for the waste section all i will assert is that KBR is the biggest participant in protection contractor centers yet has in straight forward terms 27% of the waste, if the KBR administration varieties attempt to soak the taxpayer they do no longer seem to be doing so properly. of course I as quickly as labored for KBR in Iraq and am conversing from firsthand awareness.

I'm sorry, you are surprised by this?
Look at who is running the war and the country. These are morally bankrupt crooks, a fact well known in 2004.
