to be honest it really depends on what type, if it's simple text then it shouldn't really take too long at all, but it's once you get into designing with calligraphy it can take years i have seen some beautiful artworks made with different coloured inks and writing to make up large murals of lanscapes and sea scapes, also a very advanced calligraphy technique would be illumination, using gold leaf inks and gilding techniques but an hour a day should get you doing basics in about two to three months depending on the script

I love Calligraphy, and so it started with some old books on different styles of this that my mom had. It takes practice, but after you learn some patterns, you find some to be challenging, but great fun. Then, second nature will follow.

Did you know some jobs out there still exist for people who master in Calligraphy?

Sometimes you can find second hand books at bookstores.

or you could just go buy the pens in an assortment of colors!!
