Find out what kind of turtle you have, then go to a pet store and buy food appropriate to that turtle. If necessary, ask for help. The good thing about these types of food, is that they usually have everything that is necessary in a turtles diet to keep it healthy.

Diet and feedings habits for turtles .
they like to eat or to eat the proper nutritious foods. like fruits ! apples, grapes, bannana, carrots, grabages, and vegetables also can gave to turtles. they love berriers, leafy vegetable plants, green grasses, mushroom, they do like flowers but not all flowers you gotta pick a safe ones to feed the turtles. cause some plants arent good health for them. maybe you should search online about what type of flowers that turtles can eats ? they will take a bite of anything that smells edible? like you should go to the pet smart and ask them if they sell anything like that has protein, mineral and vitamins foods for use on turtles .

Completely depends on the type of turtle. Are you talking about a pet, sea turtle, tortoise, pond turtle, river turtle...?

I've had pet turtles, and they would eat small feeder goldfish, and on occasion lettuce. As far as the turtle pellets, none of my turtles ever touched that stuff, and it would just turn to mush in the water.

WELL, THAT DEPENDS ON THE TURTLE! I HAVE A SOUTHERN FLA. SNAPPING TURTLE,..NOW SHE'S TOTALLY CARNIVOROUS! BUT, SOME EAT VEGETATION, OR A MIXTURE OF BOTH. ALSO, LIKE MY SNAPPER, (I GOT HER AS A HATCHLING). I HAVE RAISED HER TO EAT THE NEW PROCESSED FOODS THEY HAVE ON THE MARKET TODAY. EVEN THOUGH I HAVE ALWAYS LIKED FEEDING QUALITY LIVE FOODS TO MY HERPS, BUT ESPECIALLY NOW IN TODAYS MARKET, THEY HAVE PROCESSED TURTLE FOODS. LIKE PELLETS, THAT EVEN HAVE THE VITAMINS ETC. FOR GOOD COLOR DEVELOPMNENT. SO, I REGULARLY FEED MY BABY 2 YR. OLD SNAPPER THE PELLETS, & ALWAYS KICK HER DOWN SOME NIGHTCRAWLERS OR REDWORMS ETC. AS A TREAT ALSO. SOME DAY IN A YEAR OR 2 SHE'LL BE ABLE TO EAT BABY DUCKS OFF THE TOP OF THE WATERS SURFACE! ALL IN ALL?? IN MY OPINION, & EVERY GOOD HERPER I'VE EVER HEARD OF WILL TELL YOU, THAT A GOOD HEALTHY, BUT VARIED DIET, IS THE BEST. LIKE WITH MY TURTLE,..IT COULD LIVE WELL, AND NEVER EAT ANYTHING BUT THR PELLETS. BUT I BELIEVE THEY ALSO SHOULD HAVE THE EXCITEMENT OF AT LEAST HUNTING, & POUNCING ON A LIVE PREY ANIMAL, & THEN CHUGGING IT DOWN!, "GULP"!
C-YA & FEEL FREE TO E-MAIL ME & TELL ME HOW YOUR TURTLE IS & SPECIES ETC.

My terrapin ate flies, bugs, lettuce, tomato, raw hamburger, etc.
Just put it in front of them, and if they want it they will eat it.
My friend said hers ate fish cat food.
Don't forget plenty of fresh water.
And a place for them to snuggle down and 'hide.'
