Take the address to the court house to the land office where u pay ur property taxes they will have a record of everyowner of the land. They might be able to stear u toward other options. But the court house is where I found out the history of my home that was built in 1916

Contact the town clerk's office and/or the local library and ask them for the contact info for the historical society for your town. Almost every town has one, and the historical society may well have lots of information on your house.

Failing that, the town library might.

I used to have a classic house built in the early 1800s and the town historical society gave me all kinds of info, including who used to own it, what it used to be, etc.

Have fun!
