In the wild 3 feet plus... in a tank about a foot or so... maybe 18" in a really, really large tank.

My irredescent shark is 18 inches with in three years in a 120 gallon tank.when I bought it it was only 2 inches.

about 2 feet long under the right conditions, i got three and my biggest one is 26 inches but i got him in a 275 gallon fish tank.
