Too many of us PC enthusiasts treat hardware as though it were fashion ....
No.
I don't think "outdated" would be an appropriate term.
It just depends on whether or not it suits your needs.
That particular CPU will run fine on most all applications except for perhaps some intensive video editing programs. It will still do the job though ... but not as fast as you may like.

Depends on what you mean by "outdated". It's about as fast as the slowest new Sempron or Celeron you can buy. It's more than suitable for almost every non-HD non-game task, though. Computers have gotten to the point where they don't really go "obsolete" anymore.

Technically, every processor on the market today is outdated.
If you are planning on using the computer for everyday use, then it will be fine.
If you are planning on using it for Video editing, high-end gaming or other intensive applications, then you will want a faster/newer processor.

its still hanging in there. spending alittle more money on the AMD X2 would be good. single core processors are getting more and more outdated by the day.

I have the 3200 myself...It's fine for running most applications...if your into gaming however it's time to upgrade. That is a single core chip...now all they manufacture is dual and quad core chips.
