well, if they are say younger than 9. buy them any head, prince, or babolat junior tennis racquet. However if they are older than nine stick to the Head Flexpoint Instinct Junior Racquet , Head Liquid Metal Prestige Junior Racquet , Head Flexpoint Radical Junior Racquet , Prince O3 Hybrid 26 Junior Racquet, Prince Shark 26 Junior Racquet , Prince Turbo Diablo 25 Junior Racquet , or any of the junior babolats except the last four on this page.

babolats: http://www.tennis-warehouse.com/BabolatRacquets.html

heads: http://www.tennis-warehouse.com/HeadRacquets.html

princes: http://www.tennis-warehouse.com/PrinceRacquets.html

you will have to scroll down to the last subtitle of juniors on each page.

I used to do tennis from when I was 8-12. I honestly just used the good rackets from Target. If you want to buy him a good one that can be restrung or whatnot, go for "Head" brand at the local sports chain store. Any lightweight racket would do, however. Just make sure it's properly sized.
