Specifically, I've been in the US for the past 2 years on a valid work visa and have earned US income. I returned to canada in mid-July and now have dual residency status and dual income sources (US and Canada). What are the critial issues/ elements/ steps pertaining to proper declaration of income and corresponding tax credits?

i live in Canada and work for an american company in detroit. my advice is to hire a proffessional. it can be pretty complicated if you don't. especially if you hold residence in both countries.

i just checked back to see if you got other answers. i just seen you not only have residence in both countries, you have income from both countries as well. PLEASE do yourself a favor and hire a proffessional.
