You MUST be a writer to even consider naming your child that. I must admit though, it is very creative. Maybe Manuscript as the middle name will be better. One thing you have to remember is that even though the name may sound cute as a baby, the child has to live his whole life with it. Consider school, friends, college applications, job interviews, etc. But as a middle name, I Love It.
Good Luck & Congratulations

You shouldn't name your baby with the intention of having it beaten up a few years later at school. What a ridiculous name. There are so many more names out there that are different, but don't destine the child for a lifetime of taunts and cruelty

Are you really interested in literature or something, that you'd name your child with that name? It sounds rather unsuitable as an actual name. I know people are choosing non-traditional names nowadays, but this one does not bring any strong associations to mind, that would relate as to why your child would be named that. Like is a manuscript something that is to be looked up to, or worshipped or honored? I mean I like books too, but I doubt I'd name my child as in say, "John BooK Jones". Sorry, I find that one too strange!

I want to be the first to say, Congrats!
And, second of all, I personally don't like the name. But, if you like it, then maybe you could do that as a middle name. I kinda like the name Shay for a boy. If it's a girl then Savanna. I like S names!
But, this is up to you, and the father of your child. Also try other things. Like, for girls if you like the name Eve, then you could add something to it and make it Evelyn. Or, like Lily could be Liliana. You should make two lists of names you like. One for boys, the other girls. Then process of elimination.
Good Luck!
Best wishes!

Unless you are a celebrity who can get away with anything, I don't think you should name your kid Manuscript unless you want him to be a writer or an editor when he grows up.

Well, it is your child so if that's the name you are happy with then go for it. Personally, I really don't care for it. Besides, it is also good to remember that whatever you name your chid, he or she will eventually have to learn to spell it. Try not to make it too tough on him or her if you can. Plus I would also try to avoid naming my child something that may get them teased alot. Children already have it tough enough in this day and age. No sense in adding to it. Good luck!

Your child will be teased for that. Just like the child name apple from a celb. Their are so many nice names to choose from. If you are looking for a differnt name check names from a differnt centery.
