the trick to answer this question correctly is by using an acronym called "PEMDAS"
P- parenthesis, numbers in parenthesis
E- exponent(s) [ex : 3cubed]
M- multiplication (or division. whichever comes first)
D- division
A- addition (or subtraction. whichever come first)
S- subtraction
5 + 3 x 10 / 5
5 + 30 / 5
5 + 6
