Ron Hextall and Martin Brodeur have both accomplished this twice, each doing so once in the regular season and once in the playoffs. Damian Rhodes and José Théodore are the only goalies in NHL history to score a goal in a shutout game.
Antero Niittymäki of the AHL's Philadelphia Phantoms is the only known professional goalie to score in overtime, doing so when the Hershey Bears, needing a win in their last game to make the playoffs, pulled their goalie and an errant pass wound up in their net.
A chronological list of goals scored in the NHL by goalies:
Billy Smith, November 28, 1979
Ron Hextall, December 8, 1987
Ron Hextall, April 11, 1989 (shorthanded)
Chris Osgood, March 6, 1996
Martin Brodeur, April 17, 1997
Damian Rhodes, January 2, 1999
Martin Brodeur, February 15, 2000 (game-winning)
José Théodore, January 2, 2001
Evgeni Nabokov, March 10, 2002 (power play)
Mika Noronen, February 14, 2004
Chris Mason, April 15, 2006
As for the worst goalie in the NHL for the last three years I would say Martin Houle. He allowed a goal in only 2 minutes of play. He will improve though.

Smith was also the first NHL goalie to be credited with scoring a goal. On November 28, 1979, in a game between the Islanders and the Colorado Rockies, the Rockies' goaltender left the ice for an extra skater after a delayed penalty was called on the Islanders. The puck deflected off the chest protector of the Islanders' Smith into the corner. Colorado rookie Rob Ramage picked up the puck and accidentally made a blind pass from the corner boards in the opposing zone to the blue line. Nobody was there to receive the pass, and so the puck sailed all the way down the length of the ice and into the Colorado net. Smith had been the last Islander to touch the puck, and was credited with a goal.

Goalies credited with goals
A goalie scoring a goal in an NHL game is a very rare feat.

Someone's already posted the list of "goalies with goals" from Wikipedia, but it includes goaltenders who were *credited* with goals because they were last to touch the puck before the opposing team scored an own goal. I know that is technically how the game is scored, but to me what should count here is only those goals scored by the goalie actually shooting (clearing) the puck into the opposing team's net.
If you go by that, Hextall was first and he's done it twice. Marty Brodeur, possibly the best goalie of all time, has been credited with two goals, but one was an own goal by the opposing team.
I think J.S. Aubin has been the worst goalie recently -- assuming you're including only those goalies who've played any significant number of NHL games. I am sure there are many who were called up for just a game or two and did very badly.

the first goalie to ever score a goal in the NHL is Billy Smith of the Ny Islanders.
Ron Hextall of the Flyers has scored two goals and Martin Brodeur has scored two goals the most by a goalie in the NHL.
to me the most overrated goalie in the NHL goes to Ryan Miller. once his offencive team goes away with the via free agent next year he will have a really hard time. Miller doesn't win for the Sabres like Brodeur wins 70% of the games for the Devils. Miller is lucky his team is scoring. his GAA are very high and will be worst next year you watch.
and Dan Cloutier is the worst also, i just don't understand how he keeps getting chances of playing he was terrible with the Canucks and they just kept him and well his stats in the playoffs where even worst in the regular season 3.21 GAA in playoffs and always injured then L.A go get him he should retire that's for sure.
Casino>>>>Weekes wasn't with the Canes last year so he doesn't have a ring with the Canes. if your a big Rangers fan then you'd know he was with the Rangers last year and lost his job.
Craig L>>>>i hate the Leafs with all my heart but you can't say that about Aubin as he really turned the Leafs around last year in the final months and almost made the playoffs. all because of him, and before that hes always been backup.
GO HABS GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

There have been a number of markers scored by goaltenders in the National Hockey League, with Islanders goalie, Billy Smith, being credited with the first such goal in 1979.The first goaltender to actually shoot a puck at an opponent’s net with the intention of scoring was the Philadelphia Flyers Ron Hextall in 1987.
Nashville's Chris Mason is the only NHL goalie to get credit for a goal in 2006.(fluke but it counted LOL)

The following netminders have scored goals:
1) Billy Smith in 1979 (actually an opposing player put the goal in his own net, but Smith was the last opposing team member so he got the credit.
2) Ron Hextall scored 2 goals: 1987, 1989.
3) Chris Osgood in 1996 with an empty netter.
4) Martin Brodeur scored 2 goals: 1997 and 2000
5) Damian Rhodes scored a goal like Billy Smith's
6) Jose Theodore also scored a goal.

Brodeur has an empty netter too. I don't think a goalie has scored on another goalie though.
I think there are a few people here who can agree with Jose Theodore as the worst goalie in the league. As a Rangers fan, the arguement can be made that Kevin Weekes could be near the top of that list, he has a ring though, and he was the starter for the Canes in their first Stanley Cup year.

Billy Smith of the Islanders was the first goalie to be credited with a goal (1979) when he was the last player on his team to touch the puck before the opposing team put the puck in their own net.
The first goalie to shoot a puck into the net was Ron Hextall of the Flyers in 1987. Both he and Martin Brodeur have two goals to lead all goaltenders in the goals scored category.
As for the worst keeper in the last 3 seasons, I'll just nominate the entire LA Kings organization.
