I shave against the grain(going up the leg), I personally think it gives a closer shave.
Do it at the end of your shower/bath when the hair is softer from the water. Start by using a good shave gel and use a good razor. I like the Schick Quatro for Women. Find one that works for you and make sure that the blades arent old or they'll be dull. Replace the blade every few shaves to make sure the blade isnt old/dull or you'll get knicks!
Last word of advice...
shave your knee while its bent and the skin is tighter. If you do it while your leg is straight you will cut it up!

Don't ever shave ur legs dry.
because thats what cuts up ur legs..
get ur legs really moist first and if u have shaving cream
i would recomend that too becuase shaving cream creates a barrier between ur skin and the blade. so u wont get cut that easily.
and try not to use those really cheap razors. they suck.
i had issues too. youll be okay babe.

put on shaving cream and try to shave in the shower...it's way better. and start from bottom to up..it gets closer to the skin. if u shave down, it's less risky to get cut but shaving up takes off hair betters.

I had the same problem, but I got that new Venus Breeze razor (it's purple) It has the shaving cream on the razor already and it works like a charm! No cuts or razor burn! :)

Use an electric razor for women...
Works great for my wife...
Or sometimes she uses Nair....that lasts longer and feels really smooth....
