You, of course, can ask the I Ching any question that crosses your mind. The more amazing answers seem to me to come from questions that are specific and not personal. Some examples might be, "What role will politics play in the future of mankind? How can the human race progress to a time of harmony? etc" Every time I pose a question I'm left asking myself, "How does that work????" The responses seem to be so very astute and fantastically right on. You might even want to ask, "What could we ask to the I Ching?" and see what answer you receive from it.

I'm attaching a link below that will take you to Richard Wilhelm's and Cary F. Baynes translation "I Ching: Or, Book of Changes"

All you need are a question, three coins and six tosses of them, then you see your hexagrams and read the information pertaining to them.

Technically we could really ask the "I Ching" anything we wanted. However whatever the "I Ching" is would dictate what response if any we would get.
