Check out www.mymp3tone.com. This service is free, and I believ it should work even for T-mobile customers. The service lets you create ringtones from your own music

If you have a Motorola brand phone, you can send free ringtones to your phone. If you go to walmart.com and copy the link on the music samples and send that link to your phone as an e-mail: 2223334455@tmomail.net (the numbers being your phone number), then download the link on your phone it will play the clip. The clip can be saved as a ringtone. I had dozens when I had a Moto phone!
