The show used to be on Nick@Night in the 90s. It was about a kid who was named arnold(i think) and his girlfriend wendy. It was set in the vietnam war error, and i think that his girlfriend's brother died in the war. his sister was a big hippy...he had a geeky best friend. and they played the opening of all along the watchtower by jimi hendrix alot. anything?

Sounds like you're talking about The Wonder Years. The main character was Kevin Arnold and his girlfriend was Winnie. I used to watch it all the time.

Are you thinking of the Wonder Years? He had a girlfriend named Winny and a geeky friend...it took place during the 60's/70's...The theme song was "I get a little help from my friends"....
