no contest, hogan is the one that put wwf/wwe on the map so to speak.
the one thing that Austin really did was 1.)help save a sinking ship2.)help bring vulgarity into wrestling.
if it wasn't for Hogan we would not have it as we have it today,even good ol Vinnie has admitted that
Steve had the rock mick undertaker and countless
others sharing the lime light with him. Hogan was the main man back then very few were in the same elite class as him.

Hogan by far. Even though hogan wasn't necesarily the best wrestler, he had the personality to carry him a long way. PLus Hogan was popular from the late 70's up till the time he retired in 2003 and is still popular now. Stone Cold had a big Run fro 1996-2002. Since he is no longer able to wrestle he is still a favorite but is not quite as popular as he was. His new movie may generate some new popularity for him.

i like stone cold more but hogan is way more famous him and the rock are the only wrestlers that non wrestling fans actually know maybe the undertaker too

i would have to say hogan because he made wrestlemania the enterainment that he was today he is a 6 time wwe champion 6 time wcw he held the belt at one time for 4 years
