I dont think there is anything wrong with that if they are just kids, working part-time, learning the value of money... Its a good experience for them... As for older people, well I guess its good for them in the sense that they are not on welfare, and they can have some pride in themselves for actually earning their money.

Do you realize that some people may not be as lucky as you are? Maybe some of those workers were not able to attend college because they do not come from a family who could afford higher education. Public, secondary schools are free--universities (even community colleges) are not. And yes, I do know that people can get financial aide, but it is not always enough. Maybe you should just stay on your high horse and ride the hell out of here.
I am proud of my degrees as well, but I am no better than anyone working in the fast food industry or convenience stores. FYI, some of those people (especially convenience stores) own their businesses and I'm sure are better off than you are.
Also, before you have the audacity to comment on someone else being "uneducated," why don't you take a lesson in proper English grammar. Your sentence structures are not all that great, you know, Mr. Not-As-Educated-As-IT-Would-Like-To-Think.

No I don't laugh at fast food workers and convenience store clerks. I have a Bachelor's degree as well but I don't put myself above others. That's not cool. It could've been me but I'm thankful that I did better with my life.

You are such a jerk! Thanks to this uneducated individuals you get a hot meal! What would you think if an uneducated individual would save your life one of this days? Would you stop being such a jerk?
Imagine if everyone was that "educated like you" and we all had the same degree as you. Who would fix our cars, etc.......?
What if you had a terminal illness and all your $$$ and stupid degree would not make a difference on your condition; would you laugh about it? I think you have the wrong definition of what education is all about.

Proud? I think the word may be arrogant. I too have a degree, but would never think of laughing at another who is doing the best they can with what God gave them. As a matter of fact, I'd rather be around the uneducated than a decreed jerk.

just think without them, how would you get service at those places? a degree may mean higher knowledge but in this world jobs get outsourced and people loose them them from downsizing, demotion and other things. there is really no such thing as a secure job. unless you own the company. they are doing their part for our economy, paying taxes that one day may be paying your social security check. if they love their job then let them be happy. i have a degrees in computer art and medical assisting. was not happy in those fields, now i am a clerk at a motel. degrees do not mean happiness for everyone.

WOW you should be proud of yourself for being an extremely rude and inconsiderate person. You should be glad those people are working to serve your a**. That is so disrespectful and immature. That just goes to show that any di** can get a degree.

Most of them are kids trying to earn some money. I also have a degree. However, I respect everyone for what they do, as long as they are giving to society. I heard Mc Donald's actually paid pretty well and you can move up pretty fast. Everyone have to start from somewhere.

Depends how old the person is if it is a person over 23 and is not mentally different I kind of want to make a bit of fun of that person but hey it is better than people sitting on chairs collecting welfare because they are lazy and you have to give fast food workers credit for actually working.
