besides the fact it gets them off.why would men need to look at porn if they have a girlfriend who is willing to have sex with them

Lots of people, men or women both, are under the assumption that porn is a substitute for sex. It's not. You can have a boyfriend or girlfriend or husband or wife or a sex buddy always on call to provide sex whenever it's desired, and still like porn.
Watching porn or masturbating are a different thing than having sex, and neither is "worse" or "pathetic" in comparison. It's like comparing apples and oranges; watchin porn and masturbating are done alone, you please yourself, you don't have to worry about someone else and pleasing them. It's very alone, private time, and wanting to do it doesn't mean your partner isn't satisfying you, or that you're a horndog or a nymphomaniac.
Most people I know, married, dating, or single, male or female, still occasionally take time out to have sexual moments alone, often with porn or erotica of some type (though not necessarily). I think it's completely normal.

I look at it because it is a stress reliever. After a long day of work, you can feel a lot better in you own world. I don't have a girlfriend so I do it for that enjoyment as well.

Not all men need porno, I use to watch it prior to having sex, but it really do anything for me! But real sex with a real sex partner is the most stimulating feeling, alot better with the real deal then something that's not REAL! Yummy Yummy Yummy???????.

Men need sexual release really frequently, and are usually pretty horny as a result. Sometimes a girlfiend isn't there enough to satisfy a guy everytime he needs it.

Don't take it personally. Men are visually stimulated, that's about it. If you're feeling left out, try watching one with him. He'll pounce on you faster than you can say 'mistress may I have another.'

addiction.. stupidity . .. porn is like an addiction .. guys look at it and goof off wen they dont have a girlfriend.. then wen they finally get a girl who is willing and loving ..... they r so dumb and so sexually dumbed out by magazines ... so porn is addictive.
