I need to calculate the pH of distilled water with added 6M HCl

You wou need to include information about the initial volunme of water and the amount of HCl added.

The general equaltion would look like:

[H3O+] = (6 mol/ L HCl)(x L of HCl) / (y L of H2O + x L of HCl)

Then pH = - log ([H3O+])

Put pH paper in the solution and use a pH color graph. If you search "pH color graph" on a search engine you should probably find it--though I haven't tried it myself.

it will be below 7. how much water are you starting with ? what is 6m ? do you mean 6 ml ?
