I mean Briggs is an All Pro Linebacker plus he's experienced and Demeco is DROY.

Swapping player for player would be a boost for both teams.

Briggs is now "hated" in Chicago for his comments and bringing Ryans in his place would greatly satisfy the team, the players, and the fans.

Houston would also be getting a solid monster in Briggs, which would help to really improve the lacking defensive presence. Briggs wants to be a team's defensive captain (like Urlacher), then this would be an excellent opportunity for him to really prove himself.

DeMeco Ryans would take over Briggs' position. With Ryans there, the defense will look just as strong, if not more intimidating with another sure-handed tackler added to the list.

I wouldn't mind seeing this trade go down. Both teams would benefit and both players will get the opportunities that they have been wishing for ever since Day One of their careers.

I don't think it would be a good trade for the bears. Just because a guy won DROY doesn't mean he will be a pro-bowler like Briggs. Plus, you've gotta look at the supporting cast on the Texans before you start to make assumptions if players will have incredible careers. There are almost no other players on the Texans who can make plays, so it is easy for someone to shine. Maybe Demeco Ryans wouldn't be a great player anywhere else. He just hasn't proven himself to the league like Briggs has.

good trade for the Texans because Lance Briggs is one great player and he has proven his ability. His defensive coordinator admits that although Brian Urlacher is a better player, Briggs has at times outshined even Urlacher. He can be a great linebacker as he has led the chicago bears in tackles. Demeco Ryans is also great talent but that was only one year. He also did it on a team where there is no Brian Urlacher, Tommie Harris, Tank Johnson (for the times that he actually played), Alex Brown, Nathan Vasher, and others racing to make plays on defense. I like Ryans but Briggs has proven himself on one of the best defenses in the NFL and that is why the Bears franchized him.

Would not be a good trade for Houston. Ryans will be good for a long time. Briggs looks better than he is because he plays next to Brian Urlacher. Briggs is a decent player though.

No freakin way. Ryans has a hell of an upside and a great attitude. Briggs is good, but not worthy of giving up the reining DROY.

im not the greatest with trades or anything. but isnt briggs franchise tagged? doesnt that mean a team has to give up some draft picks for him? if so, i dont really know if its worth it.

Not at all good for the bears.

They need someone like... Junior Seau, who's a complete beast in his old age. Or get ahold of Banta-Cain.
