I have asked him to go get it sized so he can wear it on the left hand, but he says he doesn't want the ring to get messed up. Should I be upset?

uhh yes. Sizing doesn't do anything to a ring, the most expensive glorious jewels are sized to fit people. I hate to say this, but it is an excuse so he doesn't have to wear it on the right finger. It sounds like he is cheating on you. I would investigate this further and start thinking of what you want to do.

Well at least he's wearing it.If the ring is just a solid band with no design to it, a jeweler can size it in no time and he will never know the difference. I have sold diamonds for 8 years,do sizings all the time on all kinds of rings. Find a good reputable jeweler,it doesn't cost much and the ring WILL FIT and be on the LEFT hand.

I wouldnt be upset, at least he wears it!
I have been PG 5 times in the last 5 yrs (2 misscarriages) and every time I get PG, my fingers swell up and I cant wear my rings (they are too tight and my fingers turn red) I have hardly worn my eng. ring & wedding band in that time. My husband isnt upset . He doesnt tell me to go & buy a bigger ring or a fake ring just for the meantime. I wouldnt worry. He is wearing it right?

LMAO @ not wanting the ring messed up ?...how does he think they will return it to him???....

I dont think its that big of a deal.he either re sizes it or keeps wearing it on the other hand.

Lots of men dont wear wedding rings at all, especially if they are tradesmen.

No, not at all - it's sweet that he doesn't want to part with his ring to get it sized and that he is concerned enough about losing it that he has found a finger it fits onto.

upset... for what.
if you are uneasy that he is not wairing it on the right hand maybe you should discuss with him getting a tattoo. he can put it on his forhead. "this man is married, keep away!"
ring or no ring a man or a woman will do what it is he/she wants to do. trust him or not.... up to you. a ring won't change one single thing!!!

does he cheat? is he a bad husband? don't worry about it.

depending on the ring, it probably won't get messed up (that's why they can size rings). what's the other reason for not fitting it? there has to be another reason.

otherwise, it's petty.

No, he wears the ring. Who cares? Even if he didn't. As long as he's faithful to you and tells people he's married instead of keeping it a secret, what does it matter how or if he wears a shiny trinket?

At least he is willing to wear it.
The ring won't get messed up. Lots of rings have to be refitted for one reason or another.

Yes you should be up set very much so my husband use to say the same thing then he told me he lost it .Then he cheated on me so you see it was all about him not wanting women to see a ring on his finger. After the affair I have found the ring in an old briefcase he use to carry.
