My list is:
"Jubilee"by Margaret Walker,
"The Coldest Winter Ever" by Sister Souljah,
"The Poisonwood Bible" by Barbara Kingsolver",
"The Sex Chronicles" by Zane(only for the mature readers lol),
"The Idiot" by Foyodor Dotoevsky,
"The Catcher In the Rye" by JD Salinger--I know he did something legally so nobody can turn his book into a movie but I think the movie would be interesting.

And I wish they would make White Oleander over because even though the cast was great, they left A LOT out of the movie that was originally in the book.

The Bloody Chamber by Angela Carter. That would be a freaky but very good (if done right) movie.
Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West by Maguire. That would be a great movie, also, if done right.

John Milton's Paradise Lost--if this will make it to the movies and be told substantially as in the original work, it will be at the top of the list! a gargantuan challenge it will surely be for the cast and crew..

The Pern novels by Anne McCaffrey.

The Wheel of Timer series by Robert Jordan (though that'd be next to impossible due to the length of the series).

On the Road by Jack Kerouac. I'm amazed that it hasn't been made, considering the influence it has had on generations of youth over the last 50 years.
