I had a sleep over when I was a teen and a friend was fast asleep with her eyes open. It was talking to her, no answer. I think its creepy looking because they almost look like theyr'e dead or something.

(*lol*) It's a talent. I used to be able to do that, and so did most of the women I was in boot camp with. Comes from standing late watches. I learned to sleep standing up with my eyes open, and woke up every 30 minutes to call in my position status. It was pretty cool.

My mom suffered from Graves Disease. One of the effects of this disease is that it causes your eyes to sort of bug out..
When She falls asleep her eyes tend to open after she gets to sleep because they are extended outward. We've just got used to it over the years.
