Its perfectly alright to talk about the past, as long as you're making a point. If you just want to talk for the heck of it, talk something better.

You have the freedom to tell whoever you want about your past. You just need to make the right decision. If you feel confident that you are able to confide in that person, then don't hold back. It is all up to you.

No it's not wrong. But if your past is scary or bad, maybe it wasn't such a good idea to tell your ex-bf's friend.

Somethimes it is, somethings cant just be told, if they are about other relationships-very personal matters then probably best not to tell. But if you totally trust someone and be sure they wont betray you then yes tell them.
