First, cut back on your watering. Fungus gnats happen when there's too much water in the soil. You can use a chemical spray, don't spray it on the foliage, the gnats don't live there, spray the soil. There's also a product called Sticky Strips. These are a non-pesticide product that can be safely used in your home. The have a yellow adhesive band that has an attractant on it to attract the fungus gnats. The gnats get stuck to the strips and die. Good luck!

use" green original palmolive dish soap " put a few drops in a spray bottle with some water. It will not harm the plant. I do this anytime I got little bugs on plants (usually new plants)

just keep the plant in a dry place.other than that,the soil is too moist or maby the plant has root rot
