I used to say GLADIATOR was my favorite film but I just saw 300 on Sunday and I was totally blown away! What an awesome movie! I was fascinated every minute! The script, the costumes and sets, the music, everything was just PERFECT!!!

I was blown away by the action scenes, they were choreographed very nicely and looked pretty realistic. (OK, OK, the arterial spurt was wrong, there wasn't enough gushing blood and no sword, no matter how sharp, stays sharp long enough for you to hack that many people to death but let's overlook little details like that, OK?)

I own swords and I know it's not easy to swing those babies for long, you really have to be in good shape and these guys really looked it! Like real warriors not the weekend warrior type. I mean, you could believe that they'd been training as warriors since they were kids.

OK, there was some gratuitous nudity (young "oracle" in flimsy gown, the Queen of Sparta flashing flesh, the king and queen in the bedchamber) to keep the young, testosterone laden men interested until the carnage but I guess that's only fair as we women were treated to the sight of all these buff guys in skimpy war outfits.

The bad guys were suitably bad, LOL! Ah, it was just a spectacular feast for the eyes in many respects and was very inspiring. No doubt I'll go see it again while it's still in the theaters and immediately snap up a copy when it comes out on DVD!

No question, 300 is the best movie of 2007 so far. I've seen several: WILD HOGS, 23, GHOST RIDER, CATCH & RELEASE, MUSIC & LYRICS.... um, some horror flick whose name I can't even remember now... in fact, several movies that I can't name now because they were so mundane but 300 is awesome! Both my boyfriend and I loved it!

I agree that the movie was really great, and while the history buffs like to point out inaccuracies they fail to mention so much that was right in the story (despite the artistic slant). I enjoyed the action, the backgrounds and screenshots were amazing, and the soundtrack was perfect. I don't know about Vin Diesel as Hannibal, but I'll give him a chance. I hope they stick to the story since it's pretty amazing in itself, good thing they didn't depict him as black like the affirmative action people wanted (and how they complained that the Spartans weren't multi-ethnic like America, don't ask) since he was a "brown" person.

I didn't go into the movie thinking that I was going to be told a history lesson- moreso I went just to be entertained! And I thought the movie was bad-***. Im a girl, and I definitely felt it wasn't a "guy's" movie.

The music was awesome!

However, I don't care for anything Vin Diesel does. He's a one-sided actor to me. Gerard Butler as King Leonidas was amazing....!

the two speed-analyzing, or the e book must be useful. I examine 3 hundred-4 hundred internet site books in 2 hours, yet those are in lots of cases speedy-paced and interesting. If i'm no longer attracted to what i'm analyzing, I take longer.

This movie was awful just like the Great Alexander.
I'm an iranian,or it's better to say that i'm a persian.
Not only i, but also all Iranians got shocked when we saw this movie. Both the movies, 300 and The Great Alexander insulted Iranians civilization and past history.
If you you have read the articles about it, they say that this story is not true. Second why they show Iranians(persians) like monsters. Third in both movies they show Iranians with their great civilization and culture like Arabs. It seems that they always forget Iranians are Persian not ARAB!!
Iranians didnt dress like that, they didnt fight like that, the Iranians that they show in both movies are not the real Iranians.
At that time Iranians army was one of the greatest of the world. Iranians created the first empire in the world. Iranians were Zorastrians, an old religon, which was one of the first religion that talked about one god, heaven and hell and the final judgement. Iranians believed in good thoughts, good words and good deeds.
Cyrus The Great who created the persian empire was the one who created the FIRST HUMAN RIGHTS and now if you go to united nation, they have the translation of that.
Unfortunatley because of the bad relation between US and Iran they try to present Iranians in a wrong way. What they say about us, our present or our past is not true.
