definitely yes. I know this because believe it or not, I have
dreamt of future events. At times a person can have a
waking dream, and see an event that is occuring on the other
side of the world. The person can "see" this event as it is
unfolding. The human mind is still largely undiscovered in
my opinion.

dreams can calculate the fututure and make an informed guess.

If you drive recklessly in life, you may have a dream that you will be in a car accident. This is not magic. It is an informed guess.

Your dream about the wave is about you being overcome with some emotion or sexual urge when you are not on guard and in a leasure state. It was probably about sex because the object of golf is to put something in a hole and derive gratification from that.

That is so spooky! a big wave out of the sea.

Was it windy that night it could explain it!

Once I dreamed that I was in a house with a wolf and the next day I saw a dog. The other time that happened I had a dream where my friends and I were at school and the next day I went to school and my friends were there.

I'll probably have nightmares for taking the mick now.

I'd be pretty freaked out if the dreams I have are somehow visions of the future. For instance, last night I dreamt about planes shaped like fish. They were the biggest planes i've ever seen. I was waiting for one to land with a pink curly tail.
because then I would've believed it.

It might be more a look into your own self. Dreams are often manifestation of things you have experienced, or fancied, thought about often, yarn for..... that consciously or unconsciously stored in your mind, likely to be exaggerated to become totally surrealistic. Your dream of flying in the sky might just be your yarning of being free or carefree. It needn't suggest something you have done or about to happen.

The waves in dreams may represent emotional fluctuations.waves or tsunamis suggest a period of emotional upheaval. Anxiety, stress, and unconscious materials may be coming to the surface and affecting your daily moods. Giant tidal waves may symbolize current emotional unhappiness and psychological stress, which are threatening to destroy you.

I have a problem with thinking my dreams tell the future. I'll have a dream and then obsess about it happening and then it won't and I get upset. But sometimes they do happen. I wouldn't count on them too much. :)

It is possible - but I believe water signifies emotions- I have had a lot of dreams of tidal waves.

Who knows, some people say yes, others no. No point worrying, we can't stop things happening and I doubt you'll persuade him to move!
