In football does the wearing of a face mask make the nose tackle more difficult?

yes because they have to get skinny armed people to stick their fingers inside the mask, grab the nose and take the rb down.....

Unless the guy claiming to be a center was being sarcastic, it is hard to believe he is that stupid.

The Nose Tackle position in a 3-4* is supposed to tie up the center and at least one guard. (Hopefully two so the Inside Line Backer* gets a clear shot.)

Sorry to add a serious answer, I know the question was light, but the ignorance of an answerer was glaring. The NT can dominate the game but have no stats. That is why not 3-4 NTs are in the HOF.

*In the 4-3 there is no Nose Tackle but two Defensive Tackles and the two Inside Line Backer of the 3-4 would be a single Middle Line Backer in the 4-3.

The purpose of the nose tackle is actually to keep a more talented player (higher priced linebacker) off the field. Any cursory fan who watched three football games this past season can name three linebackers. Any cursory fan who watched three games cannot name one nose tackle(with the possible exception of Ted Washington). It's all money baby - s-a-l-a-r-y cap. Welcome to the NFL. Of course wearing a face mask makes it more difficult. You cannot see the guy you are punching in the face. Spoken by a center. Nose tackles suck -give me a lb everytime!!!!

im 13 years old and ive played qb for 2 years and lets me tell ya ya want that face mask sometimes and then theres times the recivers goin across the middle and u cant see him because theres a bar goin down your face that makes you hesitate then you get smashed
