The best blood thinner I know is water, good old H2O. I am guessing, however, that you have some type of heart or cholesterol problem, yes? If so, stay away from sugar, red meat and highly processed foods. Eat plenty of good quality vegetables, especially leafy greens and fruit on occasion when you are really craving something sweet. You might want to check out the Macrobiotic Diet, on the Kushi Institute website. I've included it below. Do, drink plenty of water, it will keep your blood flowing nicely. Teas are always good sources of liquid in the system.

Fish Oil pills, at least good quality ones, help to lower cholesterol in the system, so does Red Rice Yeast, but you have to be careful with it. It will cause you to flush which is highly uncomfortable, it's pretty much like taking Niacin. If you do decide on it, take very little and build your dosage every two weeks until you can tolerate 2 or three capsules.

There are lots of good answers. One thing surprises me, and that is that rat poison has been given a negative tick. If you are diagnosed by a GP to need a blood thinner he will probably prescribe warfarin which is a rat poison, but the quantities in the tablets are too small to cause toxicity damage.

Gingko Biloba, and Vitamin E are natural blood thinners. Conversely, foods that can clot your blood would be foods high in vitamin K (dark leafy greens, broccoli, cauliflower, brussel sprouts, canola oil, green tea, liver, etc.) If you are trying to thin your blood, you might want to limit the high vitamin K foods.
