Can my ex wife take me to court for late (3 weeks) child support payment in Ontario? It was just an oral agreement between us for the child support.

You may want to rethink your decision on your payments of child supports as a judge may decide how much you should pay.
It has been calculated that on average support payments can be as much as $500.00 per child on a month to month basis or even more DEPENDING on your income wether your employed or self employed.
There is a self help group called ''FATHERS FOR JUSTICE'', Possibly in your area or near where you live.
Look them up on the net or in your phone book and go to the meetings . You will find lots of help full information from other people's experience and lots of updated information on laws, support and custody rights.

She may not be able to prove the verbal agreement you made with her, but she can take you to court. At that point the judge will set an amount for you to pay and he will also set a date that you need to have it paid. If you default you will be dragged back into court, interest is added to the late payment too. If you continue to default you could even end up in jail. So you can pay now, or pay later, its your choice.

she can take you to court, but why would she want to; she got her money.....and if it's just an oral agreement, how is a court going to know whether it was late or not.....

Hey dude, you are responsible to pay child support even if you are in Timbuktoo. Where's your self respect? Do you want your salary garnished, so other people who are supposed to respect you, know you do not care for the welfare of YOUR CHILD?

Of course she can, and SHE SHOULD! They are yours too, why would you not want to help with their care?? You have left their Mother to provide for herself, why should she have to carry the WHOLE LOAD??!! Grow UP, dude!!
