The Sims 1 PC: sims wont marry?

i am playing the sims 1 version, and everytime i ask the sim to marry me, the say "i am in a terrible mood, your timming stinks"

i always serve them food, and watch tv with them, BUT NOTHING WORKS!!

what do i do to make them say "i do!"

Do you let them go to the bathroom and socialize w/ one another? That could be another reason they say no.

Getting sims to marry, or move in is a tricky thing. Marrying, especially.

As you probably know, marrying costs 1,000 simoleans, so if you don't have the cash, they won't tie the knot.

Your sims will also be far more likely to marry if their astrological signs are compatible. Click on the "personality" button to see your sim's personality, where you can find their sign, and compatibility. Then click on the relationships button, and highlight that character's picture to see what their personality is.

A sim that you are not playing has their mood partly dictated by their personality, what you do, and what their mood is like in their own game.

You may want to have a look at the sim of your dream's home. Make sure all their needs are being met. (you can fit all the necessities into a single 6x6 room if you have to. Not great for a family, but fine for a single sim.) While you're there, make sure the sim is well rested, well fed, CLEAN, and reasonably OK on the fun and social scale. If you want, you can even give them some success at work. Some of the astrological signs are a little wonky too, so make sure this sim is compatible with the sim you're trying to join him/her to.

You might also want to invite your sim over a few times. NOW, once you save the dream sim's home, their real time mood will be better.

So, go back to your regular sim. Add on to the house so your lover will have room if need be. Get your sim's mood beefed up to nearly perfect, get that thousand simoleons in the bank. Then call up your dream sim every day for a week or more. Invite them over, and just talk, talk, talk. Sims love to talk. Make sure your relationship with this sim is at 100%. Finally, take a day off from work (You can't try more than once every five days, or you'll get fired) and call over your sim-lover.

Now, once your sim-lover comes, get a little romantic. Then talk, talk, talk, watch TV together, dance together, feed them, and do things that keep your fun, and social meters high. At just about the time you cannot possibly stay awake any longer, try proposing again.

Some sim-unions are harder than others. I've found that it is a lot easier to do if you have more than one sim in the house already. This way, your two sims can tag-team the other sim with talking. Sims love to talk for some reason, even though it kills their fun and comfort meter.

Best luck. Oh, you might want to see about only marrying people that live alone. If you marry someone who lives alone, all their net worth comes with them, and their house remains furnished as is. sweet!

Me, I usually get same-sex sims to move in. There's no marriage cost.

You have to make sure that their needs is full and mood is at the top b4 ask them to get married. And the most important thing is they have to love each other enough to tie the knot, just like human beings, dear. Check their friendship level and if u found a "love" sign, try "kiss". If they kiss each other, then u can try to propose again. Happy trying!!!

You should make sure all their bars are green, i.e. sleepp, social, bathroom, hygiene, etc... If that doesn't work try having your Sims talk to each other more, buikd up their relationship some more.

Make sure they talk to each other. A good relationship requires socializing to each other!

Make sure they kiss often.
