Many experts say that the USA will be ruined shortly because of their military expenditures and they will be unable to borrow infinite amounts of money and the world trade/exchange systems will collapse.

As many people have just seen the movie 300, (i havent but i proboly will), there is a connection between the US and all great powers. Thoughout history there has been a dynastic cycle of control. And it seems that it comes through with every major worldly power. As with Persia and the Battle of Thermopolite (300), before this they were considered the strongest power in the world with an empire spanning from East Asia to the Mediteranean. Is there a Persian Empire today? No. However, my favorite example is the Romans. I can say that we are the new Romans. Everyone hates and fears us, and here is the scary part. The reason for Roman downfall came from A. The Germanic tribes to their north invaded. These weren't particularly sophistacated people, they were actually considered barbarians. Can you see the similarities between the Tribes and the middle east? B. The roman people also lost their power because they relied so much on their slaves, no advancements were made in their technology. can we relate these slaves to our country's Mexican immigrant's? they are now the only people who live here that aren't lazy bums. Because they now control all of the hard working jobs the middle and upper class, or the white folks with all the money have become to lazy. C. The Romans had one of the best armies in world history, as does the us. And as the romans we had extended our power to places we cant control (middle east). our organized fighting style has no chance against the gorrilla warfare used by suicide bombers and terrorist groups. D. I can't leave out that many nations come to a crashing end because of a weak leader, Bush has really given our country a huge problem. With so many enemies, we really cant survive as a nation.

Our military expenditures? Uh no, try the coming socialist wave spreading across this country as politicians pander to voters and the people realize they can vote for themselves from the government coffers. Our liberties and freedoms are slowly being taken away in the name of "income equality" which just means income redistribution. If you think the government should take more from me because I made something of myself and you've been lazy and made bad choices you are not an American that believes in the ideals the Constitution lay down. America will fall someday every nation does and it will be the mob that takes us down. Mob rule, that's democracy for you, which is why this nation was founded as a Constitutional Republic. We are not a Democracy but we're headed that way.

This sound like a movie I have seen where a little chicken runs around yelling "the sky is falling!, the sky is falling!" I don't think we will ruin or collapse or economy, I just think we sacrifice future health and security. Yes we have strong military spending, but if we didn't protect ourselves and help control terrorism, then where would we be in the long run? Yes we run a budget deficit and rely on other countries to buy our bonds and supply the funds we need, but they then also have a stake in our nation and only thru our growth and health is their investment worth having. It's a double edge sword that can end up cutting us if we are not cautious.

I don't believe any expert said that, but I do believe the USA is bordering financial collapse, not because of military expenditures but by ridicules welfare programs brought on by Dems

Yes! You are absolutely correct the United States in on the verge of collapsing at any moment now! Also I believe the ruin will come from those whom suffered from slavery and the land being taken by them, and other nations and continents shall assist these individuals. This is what I know shall happen!

And by the way, when China gives us the money they make, and in exchange we give them a piece of paper backed up by nothing and with no collateral, we have them by the balls, not vice versa. Don't be stuck on stupid.

When China owns over one trillion dollars and now wants to hedge to make more money. The Dollar has many problems. We will have to give up our valuables to pay our debts. We must stop the bleeding

I can see us collapsing. Fortunately we will be getting a new president (& anyone will be better than Bush) & I believe the budget will improve; if our economy can wait that long.

It is ruined now because of corrupt politicians on both sides refusing to enforce our immigration laws.
