I did hate mine until thy switched me. Mine hated women, smelled like chili dogs, and had man boobs. Disgusting, fat, incompetent slob.

I actually like mine, which is not typical. She's a little reactive, but she stands up for her people, which makes the hyperactivity and flying off the handle easier to take.
My previous boss was also wonderful. I worked for her about 10 years ago, and only took the job because she was my boss. I only transferred out because her manager was a twit, and I'd had enough.
Usually, I end up working for people who couldn't spell "clue" if you gave them the definition and all four letters in order. (*shrug*) I'm so tired of the corporate cesspool.

Not me. I think once you learn how the person is, you can deal with whatever the situation is. Now, if he really seems to be what you say, try not to let it bother you. Become his helper. Think, is there a reason he is like this? Make it your job to better the situation if you can.
And if you can't, do your job each day, don't make waves, and go home. The worst thing you can do is let it bother you.
