Explain the last years of the Korean War?

I'd like to get a understandable, accurate of course, descriptions of how the whole truce negotiations worked out with North and South Korea. Ask for anymore details.

Basically the war bogged down because the US was unwilling to use the atomic bomb (thank G) and wasn't willing to risk further involvement with China, which was providing troops that could overwhelm US/UN troops. So a truce was arranged and both sides tried to win the war at the truce table so the talks went on and on and on and on and ..........
