Do I really need to wait 6 weeks after I had my baby to have sex with my husband? It's only been 3 weeks but I feel great.

No, you don't. With my first I waited 3 weeks and with my second I didn't feel up to it till 4-5 weeks.

I was told by my doctor that once your bleeding is no longer bright red, you're fine.

If it hurts, then stop. If not, go for it!

You do not have to wait the six weeks.
If you feel good, then go for it. Even though you feel great, just have your husband take it slow and you be the one in charge, that way you can stop right away if everythings not going good.
I had sex 2 weeks after my babies were born and everything was great!

I didnt wait after having either of my sons... Its up to you... they say to not, but I get the feeling many people feel like having sex before the six weeks is up... listen to your body... if you decide to have sex than use lubricant and make sure you use protection.... it is possible to get pregnant so soon... Congrats on the new baby! Have a great night!

WELLLLLL the doctors say six weeks. I had sex 2 weeks after my middle child. After my youngest it was 3 weeks. With my 1st my husband was more afraid than I was to have sex earlier. Just be careful, use protection, and take it slow especially if you have stitches...I did have. I'm mom to 3..HAVE FUN!!

i waited 5 weeks with my son and the whole 6 with my daughter. i think they say to way to make sure everything is back into place. it takes a while for all your organs to move back into place after birth and for your cervix to heal.

As long as you feel comfortable, take it slowly, but really your body needs to settle down and all the bits to go back into place , you should really wait.

You should wait the six weeks... and then go for it. But be warned! It may hurt more than the labor pains (not really... but pretty damn close to it).
