AMEN SISTER!! I don't think I am in any way huge, but going shopping these days makes me feel it! I swear it's a case of the forever shrinking pant size! Let's get real! If a store was smart, they would start making their sizes larger (like a 0 would fit a size 4 and so on...) They would make tons of money from the generating of self esteem! I mean, if you are small enough to fit in a size 0 anyway, shop in the jr section or the kids.

I think it's because people need to FEEL like they fit in a 2, even if they're a 6. I'm a size 4, but I wear a 0 in a lot of Abercrombie because the clothing fits so big.

You are wrong. I'm looking at the website right now, the Crop Jeans have 7 sizes which are 00, 0, 2, 4, 6, 8 and 10. Their regular jeans have a bunch of sizes from 0-12. The tops have all the sizes from small, medium, large, x-large. Some of the dresses only have x-small & small. Skirts have 6 sizes from 0-8. It all depends on what your buying. You really need to look more because this website is telling me there are larger sizes than 4. Here's the link:

Well, first of all, Abercrombie makes larger sizes as well. Their sizing does tend to run a little small (I find that their jeans are HUGE though. I wear a 0-2 in most jeans and pants and even the 00's at Abercrombie are way too big), but that's because some/most of their customers are teenagers who are very small.

Their sizing is also part of what makes them "cool". People who shop there feel special because they can fit into the smaller-than-average sizes. It's an image/psychological trick.

No they make up to size 12. I dont know why people think just assume that Abercrombie only makes those sizes... it just seems as though people are judging Abercrombie before they even find out the facts.

Because they are continuing the cycle of teaching kids that in order to be cool you need to be skinny.

I really wish that the world would start portraying real women, in real sizes and stop trying to teach the young girls that you have to be a size 0 to be beautiful!

If you want something cool in normal sizes, Old Navy carries sizes clear up to 20! Which is great, because that means you can get the clothes that are in style in almost any size!

That's all I wear! Do you realize how hard it is for size zero and ones to find clothes that fit without going to the children's dept? I now have a wardrobe worth bragging about! And finally I'm NOT embarrassed to go out with my kids! I can be as stylish as they are now.

Perks: I get all my nieces hand me downs which makes it CHEAP for me! lol

And I doubt they change their sizing. Sometimes they make ME feel "fat"! :-0

if you love their clothes like i do you should send a message to the website suggesting that. you never no they could go along with it. they did delete double zero tho which sucks for me cuz i dont fit in zero quite yet but i wear hollister more than abercrombie its cheaper and i like the materials better personally

Maybe they're targeting the key teen demographic. Or maybe it's the common trend in the fashion industry that attempt to make females feel insecure and lead them to eating disorders and a dissatisfaction with their perfectly shaped figures.

You should boycott Abercrombie.

because a lot of people are that size. Just cuz I am a size 0 doesnt mean I am too skinny. They have more sizes than that.
