Dark Valentine makes me think rage music like metal or hard alternative.

The rock/pop/blues idea sounds awesome though.

I like your other name suggestion better but the first is good too if you can get across it's not dark music.

I'm a professional musician too and I like it! You might want to check into copywrite issues and see if the name has been taken already. If not, I would copywrite it ASAP! My first impression though is more of a hardcore metal name but doesn't matter... use it.

My first impression is a bunch of pop girls trying to be dark and edgy. They will put out music that tries to sound deep but will be full of empy, meaningless lyrics.

After reading the influences and all, then it sounds pretty cool and absolutely nothing like the name.
