The teams that do not make the playoffs are entered into the lottery. And depending on your record, you get a higher chance of getting the best pick. So the worst record in the league will have alot of chances of getting the top pick, and thus improve their team with the best college player. A team who barely missed the playoffs will have barely any chance of getting a top 5 pick. Teams that make the playoffs are entered into the draft in terms of how they do in the playoffs. The NBA champs will pick last, meaning they are the best team for that year and are seen as not needing to improve their team that much.

you win the lottery the team that has the worst record in the nba has the best chance of getting the first lottery pick. The lottery is only between teams that don't make the playoffs.

1st u have to be very sorry, then there is a lottery drawing with ping pong balls. The sorrier u r the more ping pong balls your team has. Then they pick the balls out of the machine, whoever has the last ball standing is the winner.
