I am looking forward to it myself, just hope it's half as funny as his standup....

I'm going to watch. It looks good. I didn't realize that it was Eddie Izzard at first, though. I think this is the first time that I've seen him without all of the makeup.

I saw the Pilot last Monday and I was actually quite surprised to see a show of such hilarious caliber on FX. I am usually not a big fan of TV shows but The Riches really caught me by surprise.
I am going to tune in again this Monday. If they can keep up their dark humor it will be a killer show.

I didn't know Eddie Izzard before, but I really love his facial expressions and his mimic. It goes so well with the role, I think they couldn't have picked a better person for the job.

Someone previously mentioned the ratings. It looks like the show even outperformed the opening of their hit show "Dirt"

I just saw it last night (I actually taped it, as I had to work Monday night). In reading the reviews prior, Mr. Izzard actually is trying to get out of total comedy. He has always wanted to be considered a serious actor but in his early years couldn't get anyone to take him seriously. That is when he resorted to comedy. As an awkward, "ugly" child, anyone a fan of his stand-up knows he found it easier to get girls to like him if he was funny.

I think this show has a chance if enough people get behind it. It still contains enough of his wisecracks and one liners to really make people want to pay attention. However, that being said, one has to wonder just how far they'll be able to take this plot. Obviously, with the title of "The Riches" they are going to have to stick to this family rather than moving around and grifting from others. But how long are they going to pull it off, especially since we find out there's an ex-wife involved? Well, I'm going to take a wait and see attitude and hope for the best.
