there is a snail out side and i know that i dont have any shells lying around, so where did he get his shell?

Snails secrete their shells from their mantle. They build their own house =)

Snails grow them. Crabs are the ones who find them.

they find them on the beach or in a garden- i dont think they are born with them because that would be funny
