Try Audacity.com. It's a free download service where you can record mp3 or cd quality recordings from your computer or stereo, Mp3 player...anything. You can edit these songs of yours or even add effects. I put all my old cassette tapes on cd and mp3 because of it. You can even record tracks from your DVD's to it and burn them and even change them. Basicly any audio source you can hook to your computer can be recorded here and edited the way you want, even the sound levels!

In Itunes, put the mp3 or mp4 in a playlist. Right click. Click "get info". Click the "options" tab. On there you can edit the start and stop time for when you burn onto a CD.
