I am 24 weeks pregnant and I am having this yellow discharge in my underwear eveyrtime I use the bathroom. I called the advice nurse and she said that it was normla and she suggested an antibiotic. I asked my doctor and he said that it was normal, but I'm not sure. I want to know if this is normal. I don't know if it is. This is my first pregnancy. I try to wipe it off but it always comes back. It's nasty looking. There's no blood it's just a bright yellow. I'm scared about this. Please give me advice. Or if you know what it is tell me please.

I made an appointment for my doctor tomorrow. He said to come in. That it might be an infection.

Sorry to get personal, but I'm 29 weeks and had the same problem and still do sometimes. The doctor said its normal only if it doesn't have an odor, itch, or burn. If it's just yellow and nothing else, then I wouldn't worry. Sometimes a woman's PH can get all out of whack and produces yellow discharge, especially in the 2nd and 3rd trimester. Try to avoid researching on the internet, b/c no matter where you look, it'll say it HAS to be an infection. So, in my opinion, you should be fine if it isn't smelly, burning, or itchy. Good Luck and best wishes with the baby!

Is it a creamy whitish yellow color? If so, that's normal. Did your dr take a swab and look at it under the microscope? If he said it's okay, then I'm sure it is. I had discharge in all of my pregnancy and it was fine. I just wore a pantyliner.

I have to wonder about the nurse, though- if it's "normal" then why would she suggest an antibiotic? If you need an antibiotic, there's an infection and the only way to get one is by getting a prescription.

Sounds like a common bacterial infection. They will give you antibiotics to take 2x a day for 7 days and it will clear it up nicely

this sounds like an infection to me. do you have any burning while you urinate?? it could be a vaginal infection. you should make an appt., have him look at it, and then have him prescribe something. while it is normal, it needs to be treated asap to avoid complications
