I want to make sure I don't get ripped off when calling around, what should I expect when getting a Tune-Up, and what would you estimate the prices to be?
Thanks.

-Replace the distributor cap, rotor, wires, spark plugs, air filter, fuel filter and clean and re-lube the ignition module. that's what I'd want in a full top quality tune up.

Id say doing the plugs, wires, pcv valve, air filter, fuel filter and a good repair shop will also do a fuel injection service. Plugs should be around 50-60 dollar range this is not a difficulte car to tune up, wires expect around 100-150, pcv valve around 15 dollars, air filter abour 35 dollars, fuel filter assuming the fuel lines are not rusted up bad around 40 dollars, and a quality fuel injection cleaning around 100-175 dollars. Id definetly do the plug and wires, the filters if they have not been change in a while and the fuel injection service completes the tune up to get the best results.

first element that often is going out in potential guidance gadget is your potential guidance rigidity hose. This rubber hose is intense rigidity and as they get old this hose in lots of cases leak first. for the reason that your automobile is 88 particular must be potential sttering pump or rack and pinion assembly. verify and spot the place is leaking(you are able to turn the wheel far left at the same time as engine is working and waiting to be certain leaking from playstation pump, hose rack etc. good success

Most places will do nothing but change your oil for $100..... they say they will inspect the plugs, wires and stuff like that.... inspect means they do nothing!!!! I have seen so called tuneups for $89.... and they do nothing but change the oil.... I would do the tuneup myself..... at least you know what parts you put in, and are new.....
