Anyone got any feedback about buying racing slicks??? id just put them on at the strip, good idea or bad? how much are they generally? oh ya its for an eclipse gt

You do know you will have no insurance coverage when you are racing your car, I hope? You do know that true racing slicks are probably not even made in a size that fits your car, I hope? The closest you will probably find is a "cheater" slick. Since this type of tyre is not going to be available at Wal-Mart, you need to look at specialty markets.

A set of slicks will run you 300-400 bucks..I personnaly would go with a set of BF goodrich drag radials or nittos.They have a different compond that works good at the track and still have a good ware on the street and they are usually cheaper depending on sizes

If your just drag racing then you only need two. While they do make street legal ones I can't see any reason to drive them around on the street. I've never raced so I can't tell you how well they work but go to tirerack.com and they can.
