My son is 8mo old and too big for his infant car seat, so we bought the Britax Boulevard and have it fully reclined (which is practically upright) and rear facing. When he falls asleep his poor little head falls forward. Is there a product out there that can help? I miss the old infant seat where he could sleep easily. It looks like it can't be good for his neck.

The seat should be reclined between 30-45 degrees. 30 is safer. Upright is not.

try tilting the seat back a little bit. But be sure that the car seat level is in a safe position. Or you can buy this thing I saw at Babies R' Us. I'm not sure what it is called but it works just like those things you put on our seat belts to keep the seat belt from rubbing against your skin. They just wrap around the car seat straps and it helps keep your baby's head up.

I had the same problem with mine! I saw a car seat safety tech to make sure I had it in right and I found out I needed to have the plastic strap guards higher and the chest clip higher over this sternum. He tightened the straps more too. I would have it inspected. The tech said those head guard reduce the safety.

recline the seat greater or you may get a distinctive motor vehicle seat.... or merely pull the strap a touch greater... yet i dont think of it is going to break ur toddler... yet once you're quite worried than i think of they sell those issues (in basic terms for circumstances such as you) which you will positioned on the babys head and then it attaches to the vehicle seat with velcro. good success!

They make these little things called "wings" that they sell at Babies R Us. It's a little pad, for each strap, made to hold their heads upright. And, even if they do lean a bit, they're made to keep them from going very far. They're in all different colors, with animals on them. Too cute.

I had used this thing made just for that, it looks like a miniature Boppy pillow. They sell it in the baby section at most places even Wal Mart. It works great.

I stuffed a blanket underneath the seat itself so it would lean back a little bit and her head wouldnt fall forward. Her pediatrician actually recommended I do this so I'm assuming it's perfectly safe to do.

Try using a travel neck pillow (not the inflatable ones-- the seams can leave bruising makes in the skin!)-- turned to sit under his chin and one cheek. Another idea is to use a rolled-up receiving blanket and clip it under the seat belt under his chin.
