so the directions are:
Find the unknown angle measure. The angles are comlememtary (meaning they add up to 90 degrees.)

4) one angle measure is 148. thats OVER 90, so what number plus 148 =90? (no negatives, please)

i was thinking maybe that angle was SUPLEMENTARY, (adds up to 180) but the directions clearly state 90degrees. ????????

Only a couple ways that could be answered. If the question is wrong then, easy fix then.

It's probably with an angle that is close to 360 degrees as to make it reach 90 degrees (again)

Other than that a negative angle which doesn't exist would satisfy it.

So yea, I'd go for 302 degrees so that it levels out again to 450 degrees, but would be simplified to 90 because you wouldn't list anything over 360 for ONE angle, unless it was a movement.

Very easy, 90(right angle)-148(your angle) = -52 So it is negative

x + 148 = 90 the answer has to be negative. it is -58.

I think it is a typo or something. You cant do that without negatives, and you cant have negative angles anyway! Sorry.

I'm positive that the answer would be negative it they are complementary angles.

So the original question must be in error as you suspected.
